We will offer training on digitising and manipulating existing images for archive use and on-line publishing as well as offering training on the use of digital cameras and associated equipment for capturing images.

We could, if necessary, offer assistance with DTP packages for producing short run flyers for print and downloadable PDF versions.

Below is a brief rundown of the sort of things we're going to offer partner museums.

We will assess each client's current skills and knowledge of relevant software and hardware. All training will be based on the expansion of this skill and knowledge as well as encouraging future research. We will try to minimise costs to the client throughout these exercises by suggesting free and/or minimal expense software and hardware solutions for completing these tasks and use existing equipment wherever possible.

Single User Survey - Results So Far

How does your knowledge compare to the rest?

When a museum or related organisations signs up to the project we ask all staff requiring training to fill in a survey asking questions about their current knowledge of various computer related activities. This information provides us with background information which helps us assess how in-depth our training provision has to be and at what level we will need to start from. It also provides us with a baseline of knowledge with which to compare future surveys to. Read More
